Editting Process
As of this week we have now begun the editing process! This is where we are going to pull the final pieces of our film together!
We have so far (as of Friday 6th) pieced together 1 and a half minutes of footage and we are pleased with the results so far!
The editing process is vital for desicion making.
* Which Shots to use
* Which not to use
* Realising Errors
* Creating aspects of mood or pace (slow cuts could suggest a build up or sombre mood, whereas fast cuts could depict tension and speed)
EXAMPLE OF A GOOD DESICION WE MADE:
(Pictures to be inserted when I have access gto the film in editting suite)
* When editing scenes of Chloe playing our female character walking past our male protagonist (Adian) we decided to cut into between the two perspectives and managed to get a good reflection of Chloe walking past the window behind Aidan. We decided to use this as it makes the shot look that much more realistic
* Other decisions we made were to shorten the time Chloe was walking for so that the audience were able to get onto her back story quicker opposed to uninportant time spent on her walking past.
Monday we hope to add the soundtrack to our piece and also push onwards with editing as we have been.

This could be a lot more interesting and better illustrated - perhaps you will bneed to consider going back to this at a later date - but the exam board like to see evidence of editing process.
